The Airboat Engine section was created due to the rapidly growing interest in our crate engines especially for airboats running gear boxes! Fear not, you can put the myth to rest that a Cadillac 500 airboat engine can only be used in a low RPM, direct drive application! This holds true for stock type eingines.

We run these engines with ratios anywhere from 1.7 all the way to 2.68 with no problems. How many other engines make that claim and spin an 82" 4 blade superwide prop on a 2.68 box to 4900 rpm with max pitch!

We haven't done away with the torque that these monsters are famous for, but we've simply added to it! We've also got it covered on all the hard parts it takes to run hard all day long w/o breakage!

Our Cadillac 500 airboat engines are virtually the same engine as our 500 HP and 600 Ft Lb crate engines and have ALL the same internal hardparts as well as all the billet outer goodies!

It's the logical choice due to superior longevity, 75 lb. lighter weight than a BBC and all the badass torque it takes to get a boat moving from the get go!
